IU Reports Record Private Fundraising For 2007
(BLOOMINGTON) - Indiana University President Michael McRobbie announced the university has received more than $275 million in private support in the form of grants and donations.
The fundraising level, the 3rd highest in IU history, included more than 50% coming through the IU Foundation and Riley Children's' Foundation and the rest coming through grants.
IU Foundation President Curt Simic said a more than 112,000 donors, a record number, made gifts to benefit IU in 2007.
For 15 of the past 17 years, Indiana University has ranked among the top 20 universities in private donations, coming in 17th place in 2006. 2007 rankings should be tallied early next year.
