(INDIANAPOLIS) - A proposed redistricting plan announced at a public meeting by IPS Supt. Dr. Eugene White will close 8 schools next year.
Dr. White says the move was made necessary by the continued loss of students.
Several parents expressed concerns about the plan while others offered their support.
The state's largest school district currently has about 36,000 students in 78 buildings.
