Carmel School Celebrates "No Child Left Behind" Award

(CARMEL) - Carmel Middle School held a party Friday afternoon to celebrate its status as a 2007 No Child Left Behind National Blue Ribbon winner.
Principal Denise Jacobs says the award is a prestigious honor. This is a second time the school has received the honor - the first came in 2001.
The school celebrated with a program featuring state, local, and federal government representatives.
Former Indianapolis Colts Tarik Glenn gave the keynote address. Carmel Mayor Jim Brainard proclaimed the day as "Carmel Middle School Day."
