(INDIANAPOLIS) - Indianapolis officials got a chance today to show off a top school and the city’s Children’s Museum to the U.S. Secretary of Education.
Margaret Spellings is a staunch supporter of the No Child Left Behind act. She says charter schools fit in well with the law because most of them use innovation to make sure that all students learn.
Spellings toured the Andrew J. Brown Charter School on the Eastside, and praised students for their progress.
She says education is critical not only for the future of individual students but for the future of the nation.
