(ANGOLA) - Tri-State University will have a new name in 2009.
The Angola school will become Trine University, in honor of alumnus and donor Ralph Trine and his wife Sheri.
The century-old college has been studying a possible name change since 2005, to eliminate confusion with other Tri-State entities around the country, and to keep people from wrongly thinking the private school is a state university.
