(EVANSVILLE) - Where do you place 11-hundred students in a school built to only hold 700?

Evansville-Vanderburgh School Superintendent Vince Bertram, who has only been on the job since July, is hearing concerns from parents.

In the fourth of 14 public meetings, the Scott Elementary cafeteria served as a symbol of the school's overcrowding issue.

Parents claimed that a 15 minute lunch time only gave their children enough time to eat half their lunch. Bertrim promised parents that a solution is coming.

Although concerns of overcrowding were heard throughout the meeting, Bertrim also addressed concerns in lack of supplies and the use of portable class rooms. He also said that redistricting may be a quick fix but is not in the best interest of students and parents.
