IPS Issues Special Dress Code Waivers
(INDIANAPOLIS) - Only students who have been issued special waivers will be allowed to avoid Indianapolis Public Schools’ new dress code Tuesday when the district begins enforcing the policy for all of its 36 thousand students.
Superintendent Eugene White instituted the dress code, which is so strict that many refer to it as a uniform.
Jeans, t-shirts, jackets and anything with writing or designs on it is banned. Shirts must be tucked in, and pants must be worn on the waist.
