E. Coli Strikes Indiana School
(NEW ALBANY) - E. Coli has sickened at least one student at an Indiana school.
Galena Elementary School officials also say several other students have symptoms.
The Floyd County Health Department told school leaders that a second Galena student was suspected of having the illness.
E. Coli is a bacteria typically spread by eating undercooked contaminated ground beef or leafy vegetables. It causes bloody diarrhea and severe cramps.
State and local health officials are investigating the source of the bacteria.
