(WEST LAFAYETETE) - Purdue University is punishing five fraternities that were temporarily suspended for allowing underage drinking parties at chapter houses.

Those chapters will no longer face suspension if they complete a list of requirements. Delta Upsilon, Kappa Delta Rho, Phi Kappa Psi, Pi Kappa Alpha and Sigma Alpha Epsilon members must attend mandatory alcohol awareness workshops, co-sponsor alcohol education programming and update their risk awareness guidelines.

Purdue accuses the fraternities of holding unregistered parties during Boiler Gold Rush in which minors were given or allowed to drink alcohol.
