(MITCHELL) - A new online credit recovery program has become available for students at the Mitchell Community Schools.

Mitchell High School Principal Dr. Steve Phillips presented to the board a proposal for students who are having difficulty in various required classes.

A program called Novelstar gives the struggling student a way to improve their grades. Phillips, along with Superintendent John Lantis, believes this program has potential for the students.

The cost is $375 per student on a subscription basis and will initially be offered to seniors at Mitchell High School. The Mitchell Community School board approved the program. It will start immediately.
