(MITCHELL) - Just two days before students at Mitchell Community Schools are scheduled to return to the classroom, fundraisers for the different clubs became in jeopardy.

Mitchell School Board Vice President Debra Beeler says she doesn't understand how the school can continue to ask for more and more money.

The school board met Monday night and discussed the large number of fundraisers. Beeler says there are 27 fundraisers throughout the year, including the selling of the high school yearbook.

Beeler was particularly upset with spending $5,000 for a dance instructor with fundraiser money. She, along with board member Susan Miller, wants to see a plan of action.

Miller added she would like to have more substantial evidence for each money-making endeavor.

A motion was passed to allow the current fundraisers through September 25th, then have a listing of what each fundraiser balance is and what new money is expected and what the clubs plan to do with the finances.
