(TERRE HAUTE) - Indiana State University is one of 39 colleges and universities to receive a request for information in connection with the New York attorney general’s investigation into Student Financial Services, Inc.
The investigation is looking into whether institutions directed students to the loan company in anticipation of receiving payments for loan referrals.
ISU has suspended its contract with the company pending the outcome of the investigation. ISU officials deny the university was directing students to use UFS in hopes of financial payments from the company.
