Indiana University Gets 1.9M Environmental Grant
(BLOOMINGTON) - An Indiana University led team has been awarded a grant for more than $1.9 million to develop a cyberinfrastructure to help scientists understand the current and future fate of the polar ice sheets.
Led by IU professor Geoffrey Fox, the "polar grid" team includes partners from Elizabeth City State University and the University of Kansas.
The national science foundation, who awarded the grant, said the project will create a computer grid spanning from the North Pole to the South Pole.
