College Professor And Family Affected By Quake
(GOSHEN) - A Goshen College professor in Lima, Peru says he and his family felt Wednesday’s deadly earthquake.
Professor Duane Stolzfus told Goshen College officials he, his wife and their two children are safe. He says the 2-minute quake was terrifying to experience.
The Stoltzfus family was in Peru getting ready for a group of GC students who were set to leave August 30th for a 12-week service program. Now the college will monitor whether those students will still be able to go.
Nearly 500 people died in Wednesday's quake.
