(UNDATED) - Purdue University researchers have partnered with the Indiana University School of Medicine to develop a technique to provide a new approach to detecting genetic disorders in infants and young children.
The researchers say they used a simple chemical reaction to improve the ability to detect certain molecules in fluids like blood and urine.
The technique makes markers for some disorders up to 100 times more visible.
