Purdue Professor Receives Honors

(WEST LAFAYETTE) - A Purdue University professor is scheduled to receive the National Medal of Technology from President George W. Bush in a White House ceremony next week.
Leslie Geddes will receive the nation's highest honor for technological innovation after more than 50 years of research.
His accomplishments include an automated miniature defibrillator, a pacemaker that automatically increases a person's heart rate during exercise and a new method for performing CPR.
