(INDIANAPOLIS) - Oakland City University will have to pay a $5.3-million fine to settle a lawsuit.

The school is accused of lying about incentive payments to recruiters and admissions counselors. One-point-four-million dollars will go to a former OCU employee who accused the school of violating the federal false claims act. The rest goes to the U.S. Department of Education.

OCU denies any wrongdoing. The Bedford campus is not involved with the allegation.
