(UNDATED) - Nearly 10,000 delegates are in Pennsylvania this week, where the National Education Association is holding its 145th annual meeting and marking the Association’s 150th anniversary.

Every state in the union is represented at the NEA national assembly.

Indiana State Teachers Association President Judith Brigandi says the NEA focuses on the issues that impact teachers. in the national spotlight, delegates will debate the re-authorization for President Bush's "No Child Left Behind" law.

Brigandi says the Indiana delegation has a strong interest in changing some aspects of that law.

The national assembly will transact official business during the week, but Brigandi says the Indiana delegation will also meet and discuss issues, which are more pressing for Hoosier educators.
