(WEST LAFAYETTE) - Purdue University says 50 people may be at risk for identity theft after a web page containing information about them became available on the internet.

Those affected were students in spring 2002 or fall 2004 and enrolled in an industrial engineering 500-level course.

The files posted on the internet contained names and social security numbers.

The university is notifying those who may be affected.
