Specialists Insist More Rain Is Needed To Keep Food Costs Down

(UNDATED) - Experts from Purdue University insist that if Indiana doesn’t get more rain soon, Hoosiers will have to spend more money on groceries.
Some critics are blaming the production of ethanol, saying the gasoline alternative is driving up demand for corn.
Meantime, the lack of steady rain has reduced corn production. Already, food prices are up nearly four percent from what they were a year ago. Prices could increase even more if more rain doesn't hit the eastern corn belt.
