Rose-Hulman Students Take Fuel Efficient Title

(TERRE HAUTE) - A team of Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology students has taken top honors in the collegiate division of a competition for fuel efficient vehicles.
The team developed a one-person vehicle that completed a road course in Michigan achieving 1,541 miles per gallon in fuel efficiency.
Another Indiana entry, built by students from Evansville's Mater Dei high school, won the high school division.
The Rose-Hulman team's 2007 competition schedule will continue at the Shell Eco-Marathon UK Challenge on July 4-5 near Corby, England.
Eight team members and one faculty advisor will be making the trip.
