(NEW HARMONY) - A New Harmony grade school says photographs of students who didn’t pass recent statewide exams was accidentally released outside the school, violating federal privacy laws.

New Harmony School Principal Douglas Mills says the pictures were formatted into a collage for teachers, to encourage them to work harder with the students.

The school district is working to determine how the collage filtered into the community. Mills apologized for the incident and says the tiny school in Southwest Indiana will take steps to prevent it happening again.

New Harmony School has just 200 students from kindergarten through 12th grade.
