(TERRE HAUTE) - More than 600 boys from throughout Indiana will get a hands-on experience in government and politics this weekend in Terre Haute.

Hoosier Boys State takes place June 9th through June 16th on the campus of Indiana State University.

Associate Director Steve Bowman says this year's delegates will be assigned to the nationalist or federal political party as they learn about various aspects of the political process.

Participants will also watch an actual Indiana Supreme Court hearing.

More than 60,000 Indiana boys have participated in the program since it began in 1937. Former participants include Astronaut Joe Allen and Governor Mitch Daniels.
