Researchers Say Fox News Not Fair Or Balanced
(BLOOMINGTON) - Indiana University researchers have their own spin on Bill O’Reilly’s television program: it’s not fair and balanced.
A scholarly analysis of the Fox News host shows he calls a person or group of people a derogatory name about once every seven seconds and particularly picks on minorities, immigrants and foreigners.
Meanwhile, plaudits are heaped upon the Bush Administration, Americans and the military. A recent poll shows only 1 in 100 journalists consider O'Reilly one of them, while 40 percent of Americans as a whole believe O'Reilly qualifies.
