More Freshmen For I.U. Despite Stricter Admissions

(BLOOMINGTON) - Indiana University is expecting another large freshman class this year that includes many students who scored high on college entrance exams.
IU officials have pushed for more selective admissions at the school's Bloomington campus. School administrators claim the number of top-level Indiana students who indicated they plan to attend IU rose 15%.
Top-level students are ones with grade point averages of at least 3.5 and SAT scores higher than 1,200. Nearly 29,000 first-year students applied to IU this year. That's up 17% from last year.
