Last updated on Thursday, May 31, 2007
(WASHINGTON, D-C) - It’s been tough for the 13 Indiana students participating in the National Spelling Bee in Washington, D.C.
Three of the students survived the two-round minimum.
Three of them have been there before, including three-time entry Sameer Mishra of West Lafayette.
Terre Haute sixth-grader Kennyi Aouad is the only Indiana rookie still standing.
The others fell victim to the written round which opens the bee.
