(UNDATED) - Ivy Tech trustees will vote on May 30 on a tuition increase of nearly 4% in each of the next two years.
No students showed up for a public hearing held recently on a proposed hike that would increase the typical Ivy Tech student's costs by $116. A dozen commented via email, and split evenly pro and con.
Ivy Tech vice-president Bob Holmes says the money will pay for raises of three-to-four-percent, and for an increase in the number of full-time faculty members. The increase also reflects an eight-percent jump in enrollment the last three years.
