(WASHINGTON, D.C.) - Fifteen Hoosiers will be among a record 286 spellers facing off Wednesday in the Scripps National Spelling Bee.
Sameer Mishra of Lafayette is in the finals for the third time.
Vibe Vavilala of Fishers, Michael Yeh of Kokomo and Ariane Bolt of South Bend are making their second appearances.
