(TERRE HAUTE) - Terre Haute is forming a partnership with two higher education institutions in a new venture aimed at bringing new jobs to the region and keeping students in town after graduation.

The Terre Haute innovation alliance will be housed in Indiana State University's John T. Myers Technology Center. Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology will also work closely with businesses picked for the new facility.

ISU President Lloyd Benjamin says the location at the edge of downtown Terre Haute lies near the heart of the city's business community.

Three technology-oriented businesses have already been selected for the alliance, including two in the area of health care.
