Students Disagree With District-Wide Dress Code
(INDIANAPOLIS) - Students at Indianapolis public schools say they do not agree with a proposal for a district-wide dress code.
About 150 people attended a Thursday meeting at broad ripple high school with Superintendent Eugene White to tell him their thoughts.
Dozens of students spoke out against the plan, which would allow students to wear only solid-colored, collared shirts and dress pants. Blue jeans would be outlawed under the new rules.
White says he believes the behavior of students will improve if dress uniformity is enforced.
