Cancer Research To Be Available Online

(BLOOMINGTON) - A joint project involving several schools within IU are working on a plan to create a web portal for cancer patients.
Doctor Anna McDaniel is with IU and is helping to oversee the project. McDaniel says millions of cancer patients turn to the web for information and not all of it is correct.
The portal will decipher information and offer up resources, including new breakthroughs in oncology research. McDaniel says the web portal is in the research stages and the initial launch is set for the start of 2008.
McDaniel also says their portal will offer links to local support groups, both in person and online.
