(LAFAYETTE) - A Purdue University student has seen his idea for slowing pollution applied to streets in Tippecanoe County.
Ryan Cambridge won a contest to design a new logo aimed at stopping people from dumping harmful chemicals into sewers which drain into the Wabash River. Cambridge's design, which has been painted near sewers, shows a heart-shaped fish and contains the slogan "no dumping, drains to river."
Cambridge won five hundred dollars for his entry, which was judged better than more than one hundred others.
