(BLOOMINGTON) - Indiana University officials from all of the school’s campuses have until October to submit proposals for a university-wide smoking ban.
I.U. president Adam Herbert says the 8-month window will give each campus a chance to discuss different approaches with students, faculty, and staff.
Trustee Phil Eskew last week called for a comprehensive ban during a committee meeting. It's an idea that Herbert says he had already been considering.
Indianapolis and Richmond campuses already have smoking bans in place.
