(UNDATED) - Results for the 2006 I-STEP plus tests show 70% of Indiana students in grades 3 through 10 passed language arts exams, 73% passed math and 60% passed science in grades 5 and 7.
Superintendent of Public Instruction Dr. Suellen Reed says overall pass rates showed little change from a year ago.
She says the basics appears to be there, it's when the subject matter becomes complex is the problem.
