(INDIANA) - Indiana colleges and universities got an “F” on a national report card from an organization that rates institutes of higher education.
A group called "Measuring Up" gave Indiana's postsecondary schools an "F" in affordability.
According to the 2006 report, Hoosier families spend about 30% of their income, even after financial aid deductions, to send students to public universities.
Families in other states spend about 16% of their income to send students to school.
The annual report card rates all states in categories such as preparation, completion, and benefits.
