(BEDFORD) - The North Lawrence Community Schools Board of School Trustees meeting was held last night at the NLCS Administration Building.
Doug Johnson with the insurance committee reported to the board results of the health survey passed out to NLCS employees. He said most workers would rather have their benefits changed rather than have to pay out more in premiums. The board voted to keep the benefits the same for 2007, they will reexamine them for 2008, however medical premiums will increase 5-percent for 2007.
In other business, Transportation Department Director George Goodin told the board two new trucks will be purchased. A Ford F-250 will be purchased from Bedford Ford and a GMC Truck will be purchased from Burton Pontiac/GMC. Both will cost approximately $21,000 each.
