(UNDATED) - Purdue University president Martin Jischke is drawing praise from state and federal officials after he announced his decision to retire next June.
Governor Mitch Daniels commended Jischke for leading Purdue to new levels of excellence.
Indiana Senator Dick Lugar called Jischke a great leader who has brought incredible vigor and vision to Purdue.
Lugar says he looks forward to working with Jischke in the coming year and future.
