MUNCIE—Ball State University researchers say they will soon test a new point-to-point laser system that will send broadband communications between buildings.
The University, which is testing the equipment for a Canadian company, says the free-space optics equipment is easier and cheaper to install than traditional fiber optics.
Gulf Coast businesses, universities and organizations are taking on the daunting task of restoring Information Technology after the storms.
