(INDIANAPOLIS) - GM announced Monday that it will ditch its fabled Pontiac division after 82 years.
Indianapolis Pontiac dealer Andy Mohr says he's not too surprised by the change. Mohr explains it will be more of a consolidation, from three brands into two.
He says Buick plans to expand and you may even see old Pontiac brands under a new name.
GM is under pressure to right size its business in order to stave off bankruptcy.
The changes are all part of the viability plan that builds on earlier plan submitted to the US Treasury.
The revised plan accelerates the timeline for a number of important actions and makes deeper cuts in several key areas of GM's operations.
