GM Expected To Shut Down Many Plants For 9 Weeks This Summer
(DETROIT, MI) - More worries coming out of General Motors, this time about plant shutdowns this coming summer.
Our partners at Fox News are reporting some GM plants could be shut down as much as 9 weeks this summer, as auto sales continue to decline, and the general needs to shore up cash.
GM employees could learn as early as today if their plant is part of the summer shutdown, or if they will keep on working.
GM officials are telling Fox News currently that the closure would affect most GM facilities, but they do not yet know the specific dates.
