Lilly Drug Study Doesn't Turn Up Desired Results
(INDIANAPOLIS) - Indianapolis-based Eli Lilly reports inconclusive phase II clinical trial results from an experimental drug to treat schizophrenia.
The study found the results from the experimental drug were no more effective than existing medication.
The company will conduct another trial next year and it "remains optimistic" in the experimental drug's promise as a future treatment.
669 patients enrolled in the study and 393 completed this four-week, in-patient trial.
