(INDIANAPOLIS) - On the heels of the closure of Indianapolis-based C.P. Morgan, another Hoosier company is launching a small home building business.

Davis Building Group plans to use a new strategy to make money in a slumping housing market. Company partner and Vice President Todd Roberts says they will shift focus from building some custom homes in 2009 to renovating and remodeling old homes in hopes of turning a profit.

Davis recently commissioned a market study that shows the supply and demand for housing in Central Indiana is reaching an equilibrium due to the low levels of new home construction.

The company expects the new construction housing market to rebound once pre-existing homes are filled by eager buyers.
