Cigna To Cut 1,100 Jobs, Consolidate Real Estate

(UNDATED) - Pennsylvania-based Cigna has announced it will cut approximately 1,100 positions nationwide, around 4 percent of its workforce.
The company also plans to consolidate some real estate locations.
The job eliminations are anticipated to be in large part complete by mid-year 2009.
Cigna purchased Sagamore Health Network, Indiana's largest leased health care provider network, in August 2007.
