(INDIANAPOLIS) - The administration of the Indianapolis mayor is negotiating to acquire the outer skin of the RCA Dome for reuse as umbrellas and shelter canopies for parks, pools and other facilities.
Indy Parks Director Stuart Lowry says it's a strong plastic-like material, perfect to the needs of the parks. Best of all--he says it'll last for 30 years or more.
The canvas in use now sometimes wears out in a single season.
