High Tech Supplier Doubling In Size

Last updated on Thursday, July 10, 2008

(CARMEL) - The Telamon Corporation—a Carmel-based developer and supplier of high technology—is doubling the size of its international headquarters.

That means a $3-million dollar investment in technical support, engineering and logistics--and the hiring of 250 people by 2012.

Governor Mitch Daniels had high praise for Telamon's founder Albert Chen, an immigrant who founded the company in 1985, building it from scratch.

Telamon is getting $1.25 million in tax credits and almost a quarter million dollars in training grants. But Chen told his employees it's not "free money"---he says the $500 million dollar company must continue to perform well and grow.
