(UNDATED) - The Indiana Chamber of Commerce has announced the rankings for the companies that made the third annual “Best Places to Work in Indiana” list.
A total of 66 Hoosier companies were designated as a "Best Place to Work in Indiana" for 2008. The program honors the top companies in the state, as determined through employer reports and comprehensive employee surveys.
Investment giant Edward Jones of Indianapolis took first place in the large-size companies category.
The Indianapolis architectural firm, Schmidt Associates, topped the list for small to medium-sized companies.
Winners were selected and ranked from two categories: small to medium- sized companies of between 25 and 249 employees and large- sized companies consisting of 250 or more employees. Out-of-state parent companies were eligible to participate if at least 25 full-time employees are in Indiana.
Handling the selection process: the Best Companies Group, which has overseen similar programs in 18 other states; and Modern Think, LLC, a workplace excellence consulting firm.
The basis for this initiative is Fortune Magazine's noted "100 Best Companies to Work for in America."
