(GREENSBURG) - Honda will pay for the city of Greensburg to hire six additional firefighters to provide around-the-clock protection for the auto company’s new plant.
The city will provide uniforms and equipment for firefighters assigned to the Honda plant, as well as a mini-pump fire truck and 24-hour living quarters.
Greensburg Fire Chief Scott Chasteen says current firefighters will be able to choose whether they want to work at the Honda facility.
