(ORESTES) - Orestes-based Red Gold says changes in the new federal farm bill will benefit Indiana’s tomato growers.
Officials say the farm flex program contained in the legislation will allow Indiana tomato growers to plant tomatoes on acres that are normally enrolled in the government commodity program but had been prohibited in the 2002 farm bill.
