Closing Puts 400 Elwood Workers Out Of Work

(ELWOOD) - A state plating plant in Elwood that once employed nearly 400 people in the heyday of its nickel-plating operations has closed, putting its remaining 60 to 70 workers out of work.
Elwood Economic Development Director Bill Savage says the business shut down Friday morning. It had been operating in the Madison County community since 1962.
