Belden Cutting 135 Jobs From Workforce
(RICHMOND) - 135 employees will be laid off from Belden’s Richmond manufacturing plant by the end of the month, the company announced Friday.
The cut makes up about 14 percent of Belden's work force, which is about 1,000 people.
Belden, which makes signal transmission products for data networking and specialty electronic markets, is the second-largest employer in Wayne County, according to a 2006 Richmond-Wayne County chamber of commerce study.
